Puppies due November 2008 to go to new homes around mid Jan 09

Welcome to our site dedicated to our family of Hungarian Vizslas.

The Hungarian Vizsla is a unique breed that requires and expects more social bonding and exercise than some other domesticated breeds. The inherent working nature of this breed combined with years of dedicated breeding has resulted in a dog that has all the hallmarks of a fine HPR.

We are a small breeder of Hungarian Vizslas who believes in quality breeding on a small scale. We ensure that all our breeding is in accordance with the Hungarian Vizsla Society code of conduct and is regulated by the Kennel Club as members of their Accredited Breeders Scheme. All our Vizslas are DNA profiled, hip scored and have clear eye examinations before we even consider breeding from them. This combined with our knowledge and understanding of the Vizsla has led us to produce some fine dogs from excellent show and working lines.

Hungarian Vizslas are unique in that they are as well adapted to the show ring as they are to field work or the home.
With a wealth of history connecting them to the Magyar tribes of the Caspian Basin, the Vizsla is steeped in Hungarian tradition and folklore. Used mainly for hunting the name means "alert & responsive" the Vizsla is a medium sized dog with a true passion for the outdoors.
Our Vizslas love nothing more than to spend an active day outdoors and a lazy evening in front of the fire. The Hungarian Vizsla is more than just a dog and has been selectively bred over the years to what we see today, a well rounded HPR. The Vizsla is a medium sized dog with a lot to offer all walks of life.

It is worth mentioning that the Vizsla not only wants  but needs good exercise, this dog is not suited to being confined all day.

There are many books about the Hungarian Vizsla on the market and vast amounts of Internet resources for a potential owner. I would recommend lots of reading before embarking on a Vizsla as they neither look nor are run of the mill.
